OpenAI chief executive Sam Altman, along with two co-founders, launched yesterday the Worldcoin crypto project, saying they aim to grant users a verified digital identity and access to a financial network.

The European Commission has introduced a legislative proposal for an EU "digital identity wallet" that would allow numerous services like opening a bank account or filing tax returns to be done purely digitally. EURACTIV Germany reports.

Ljubljana – In order to expand the use of digital Covid certificates once they enter into force, the government is expanding the number of points where residents will be able to get their digital identity, Public Administration Minister Boštjan Koritnik told the press on Thursday.
