94rd Аnniversary of St. Nedelya Church Assault

Today, Bulgaria marks 94 years since the bloody assassination in Bulgarian history and also one of the most bloody in the world. 

 It was carried out on 16 April 1925, when a group of the Bulgarian Communist Party blew up the church's roof during the funeral service of General Konstantin Georgiev, who had been killed in a previous communist assault on 14 April.

Sofia Hosts a Trade Union Meeting of European Capitals

The President of the Confederation of Labour ''Podkrepa'' Dimitar Manolov will open the 18th annual conference of the Trade Union Network of the European capitals.

They will discuss the opportunities for transport and mobility on the Old Continent.

More than 30 organizations from 12 European cities will join the event.

Romanian Journalist Detained in Bulgaria while Investigating European Funds Fraud

RISE Project announced that journalist Attila Biro was detained by Bulgarian police while documenting a Bulgarian journalist's case of fraud with European funds. The Bulgarian authorities also do not communicate with the Romanian consuls in Sofia.

Bulgarian Interior Ministry: Dimitar Zhelyazkov 'The Eyes Detained in Turkey for up to 30 Days

Sofia. Dimitar Zhelyazkov has been detained by the Turkish authorities for up to 30 days, Ministry of Interior Secretary General Mladen Marinov said at a briefing in Elin Pelin with regard to the investigation against a criminal group led by Zhelyazkov, Focus News Agency reports.
