Greek Jewish body deplores desecration of cemetery
The Central Board of Jewish Communities in Greece (KIS) expressed on Monday its abhorrence over the vandalism of tombstones at the Jewish cemetery of Athens, calling on Greek society to condemn the action.
According to police, around 10 marble tombstones were smashed at the 3rd Cemetery of Nikaia in Athens on Friday.

Desecration of Jewish graves strongly condemned
Greek political parties have expressed their disgust over the desecration of Jewish graves at the 3rd Cemetery of Nikaia in Athens on Friday.
"Anti-Semitism, and all forms of racism, has no place in Greek society," a statement by ruling Syriza read.
"We will not allow the diffusion of racial hatred by those who feel nostalgia for Hitler," it added.

Court clears author Soti Triantafyllou of 'racism' in her writing
An Athens misdemeanors court on Wednesday cleared Greek author Soti Triantafyllou on charges of violating anti-racism laws in her writing.
The case went to trial after the Greek-Helsinki Monitor human rights group took legal action against the author, accusing her of using racist language in articles.

Deutsche Welle Releases Documentary About Marriage in Roma Minority of Bulgaria
The German publication Deutsche Welle has produced a documentary in Bulgaria about one of the older traditions of the Roma minority with regards to marriage.
The documentary follows a Kalaidzhi family as they attempt to find a husband for their daughter, and it explores the differences between the young Roma and the older generations.
