Former Trump Advisor will Unite European Populists

Steve Bannon, the controversial former chief advisor of US President Donald Trump, has announced plans to establish a foundation in Europe to spark a populist right-wing revolt.

Bannon told The Daily Beast that the foundation, called The Movement, will rival George Soros' Open Society Foundation, which has given away billions of euros to largely liberal causes.

In an interview for Fox News at the end of his European tour, during which he took part in a NATO Summit, visited the UK, and met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump spoke about the functioning and the financing of the western military alliance.

The US Ambassador to Estonia resigned after announcing that he was disappointed by President Donald Trump's comments on European allies, the BNR reported.

James Melville wrote on Facebook that Trump's words had led to his decision to retire. The US president has imposed a European duty and continues to criticize allies from NATO.
