Greek businessmen allied with Russia are spending money on encouraging violence in Macedonia ahead of the referendum in autumn on the country's name - and in order to prevent Macedonia from joining NATO, Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev told BuzzFeed News.
FYROM's NATO accession hinging on name deal
The final declaration of the NATO summit in Brussels this week is expected to state that the accession of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) to the North Atlantic Alliance hinges on its ratification of the name deal signed with Athens last month, according to a draft seen by Kathimerini. The conditionality will, reportedly, be noted in articles 59 and 60 of the declaration.

Zaev says Greeks have nothing to fear from FYROM
Amid uncertainty over the outcome of the name deal reached between Athens and Skopje two weeks ago, the prime minister of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Zoran Zaev, has urged Greeks not to be frightened of his country.
