Loznica demands urgent solution of environmental issues
LOZNICA - The Loznica City Council in western Serbia called at its extraordinary session on Monday for implementation of an urgent solution of the problem concerning the leak of heavy metals from the goaf of former antimony mine in Stolice.
Serbia marks 100 years since Battle of Drina
LOZNICA -A commemoration was held at Mt. Gucevo near Loznica, western Serbia, on Sunday for the fallen in the 1914 Battle of Drina, in which members of the Serbian military tried to prevent the second Austro-Hungarian invasion of the Kingdom of Serbia.
On behalf of the Serbian government, Minister of Veteran Affairs Aleksandar Vulin laid wreaths at the memorial ossuary.

BELGRADE -- A visiting exhibition of the National Museum in Kruševac opened this week at the National Library of Serbia in Belgrade.
The exhibition, "The Legacy of Stevan and Stanislav Binički", is part of the events organized to commemorate the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War.

Danger of Mass Flooding Eases in Bosnia, Serbia
Hundreds of houses are flooded in Bosnia and Serbia, in the latest week of freak weather to have hit the region, following catastrophic floods in May.
Two persons were reported dead in Bosnia's mainly Serbian entity, Republika Srpska, while police in the northwestern town of Banja Luka are still looking for another two men whose vehicle was found in the area during the floods.
