Jerry Lewis Dies at 91

Jerry Lewis, the manic, rubber-faced showman who jumped and hollered to fame in a lucrative partnership with Dean Martin, settled down to become a self-conscious screen auteur and found an even greater following as the tireless, teary host of the annual muscular dystrophy telethons, has died. He was 91.

Event to mark third World Duchenne Awareness Day

The third World Duchenne Awareness Day is set to take place Wednesday and is being marked at the offices of Greece's Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA Hellas) at Victoria Square, downtown Athens.

The event, organized by parent and patient associations, aims to spread awareness about this rare genetic disorder which is characterized by progressive muscular weakness.

Documentary on senior marathoners to premiere in Athens in aid of MDA Hellas

Following a successful screening at the 18th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in March, Eliana Abravanel's "Finish Line" will be the subject of a special avant premiere in Athens, at the Danaos cinema on May 11, starting at 8 p.m., with proceeds going in aid of MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) Hellas.
