New exhibition on Winged Victory of Samothrace at the Louvre
The Louvre museum in Paris, France invites its visitors to rediscover the Winged Victory of Samothrace in an exhibition which opened yesterday and is scheduled to run until June 15.
This emblematic statue, the most famous exhibit at the Louvre, is again visible after a year of restoration.
Evros municipalities damaged by floods
Regional authorities in eastern Macedonia and Thrace were on the alert Thursday after heavy storms caused flooding in the municipalities of Didimoticho and Sofiko, among other areas.
Damage was reported to houses and businesses in several Evros villages, while three senior citizens where evacuated from their homes by fellow villagers in Lavara, Amorio and Kissario.
