Belgrade Waterfront project on parliament agenda on March 18

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic will schedule a meeting for March 18 to discuss a bill on establishing public interest and special procedures for expropriation and construction permits needed to realise the Belgrade Waterfront project, Tanjug has learned from Gojkovic's office.

Int'l Nautical, Hunting and Fishing Show opens in Belgrade

BELGRADE - The 37th International Nautical, Hunting and Fishing Show opened at Belgrade Fair on Wednesday.

The fair, which will bring together over 70 exhibitors with around 80 vessels, was declared open by Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic.

The expo is meant to stress the nautical potential of Belgrade and Serbia, but also to bring global trends in this field to Serbia.

Reconstruction works start at Prokop railway station

BELGRADE - The reconstruction of the Belgrade Centre railway station at Prokop began on Wednesday, the Serbian Railways said in a statement.

This marks the official start of the first stage of the reconstruction of the railway station - under an agreement, the works should be completed by January 26, 2016.

LONDON -- Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić and Belgrade Mayor Siniša Mali on Wednesday met with London Mayor Boris Johnson.

According to the Serbian government, they "discussed infrastructure projects and ways of presenting the Serbian capital in the UK."
