The Biggest Investors in Bulgaria are from the EU

The biggest foreign investors in the Bulgarian economy are from the European Union, according to a statement made by the Minister of Economy Emil Karanikolov.
 
Foreign direct investment in the country for the period January - March 2018 amounted to EUR 179.1 million. For the same period in 2017 these foreign investments in the country amounted to EUR 950.1 million.
 

BDZ will Buy New Trains

The process of investing in "Passenger Transport" starts - the investments consist in the purchase of new trains. The Bulgarian Government will make this on two stages - the first stage - 41 new trains will be bought and on the second stage - 44. This wa announced by Vladimir Vladimirov, Executive Director of Holding BDZ. 

Train Passengers are Blocked near Aitos, Burgas

The Sofia-Burgas train has stopped in the field near Aitos аt 5 am this morning and the passengers have no information about the reason.

This was announced to bTV by Ivailo Simeonov, who is among the passengers.

At the moment the train is stopped, the heating as well. There are about seven wagons in which there are a lot of passengers, including children, Simeonov added.

Salaries in BDZ will be Raised

The Board of Directors of Holding BDZ EAD adopted a decision for an increase of 12.5% in the remuneration of the BDZ locomotive staff.

In this way the salaries of all BDZ employees will be increased as of 1 January 2018. The increase is determined by the position occupied and ranges from 11% to 12.5%. This was announced by the BDZ press center.

For the first nine months of 2017, investments from Switzerland in Bulgaria amounted to 128.3 million. This was announced by the Minister of Economy Emil Karanikolov during a meeting with the Bulgarian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Economy announced.

The event was attended by representatives of over 40 companies.
