Sofia-Karlovo Passenger Train Derails, Nobody Injured
The locomotive and two cars of the passenger train Sofia- Karlovo derailed at the railroad switches leading to the Stryama railway station on Sunday morning.
No passengers or crew members on the train were injured, according to the press office of the Bulgarian Railways Company (BDZ).
Bulgarian Railways with New Action Plan
The new strategy for stabilization and development of the Bulgarian railway service BDZ will be ready until the middle of February, as announced by the CEO of the company Vladimir Vladimirov on Wednesday.

Bulgarian Transport Minister Ivaylo Moskovski has announced that the funding paid out under operational program Transport so far, at EUR 1.5 B, amounts to 71% of the total budget of the program.
Moskovski, as cited by money.bg, presented Thursday the achievements of the government in the spheres of railway, roads and water infrastructure.
Bulgaria's Govt Allocates Additional BGN 40 M to State-Owned Railway Co
Bulgaria's government has allocated an additional sum of BGN 40 M to the state-owned Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ) company to prevent staff cuts and cancellations of trains.
The move was necessitated by protests in different regions of the country over 38 cancelled trains which caused major inconvenience to people relying on railway transport.
Bulgaria's BDZ to Put Stopped Trains Back on the Railway in February
The trains stopped in the middle of January with an official government decision will be set in operation again starting 1 February, officials from the Bulgarian State Raiways (BDZ) announced.
Last week it was reported the trains would be back on the tracks, but no date was specified.
The reversal came after a series of protests across Bulgaria last week.
Bulgaria's Privatization Agency Registered Revenues of BGN 2.35 M in H1, 2014
Bulgaria's Privatization and Post-Privatization Control Agency (PPCA) registered revenues of BGN 2.35 M in the first half of 2014, according to a report of the PPCA submitted to Parliament.
The sum includes compensatory instruments with a nominal value of BGN 1.7 thousand.
Bulgaria's Govt to Restore Halted Trains
Transport Minister Ivaylo Moskovski has assured that no more trains will be dropped from the schedule of the state-owned Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ).
Moskovski told journalists Friday that the state-owned railway carrier would be given back the sum of BGN 40 M it had been deprived of through a subsidy cut.
