In the period 26 - 28 March 2019, the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Mr. Rumen Radev will make an official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt. During the visit he will be accompanied by representatives of the Bulgarian business and economy circles, and a two-sided business forum was agreed between the two countries.

Vratsa managed to outperform Sofia and all other regions by GDP growth in 2017, according to data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI), published yesterday. The Municipality reports a 22% increase in GDP per capita - from BGN 9 579 in 2016 to BGN 11 684 in 2017 and is thus ranked first. Bulgartabac factory in Blagoevgrad stops working, but there is still no clear position on whether it is temporary or not. From more than 2,000 employees years ago, currently the factory employs about 200 people. A few days ago they were told that they had to submit notices of termination on the grounds that there was not enough work, reports BNT.
The number of trips to Bulgaria's mountains rose significantly, analysis of Eurostat about the development of tourism in 2017 show, reported the Bulgarian National Radio.
Last year nearly 4.7 million personal trips to Bulgarian mountain resorts were made as compared to 2.9 million trips made in the previous year (2016), Eurostat data further shows.
