“Cold shower” for Greece: Germans see only 0,7% growth
Leading German think tanks on Thursday raised growth projections for Greece’s economy for this year, forecasting growth of 0,7% while Greek Ministry of Economy sees growth rates of 2,7% of GDP in the comin year. This discrepancy means 3,5 billion Euros for the Greek Government.
ATHEX: Thin trading, low growth
The trading volume on the Greek bourse was too low again on Thursday for stocks to make the most of the recovery seen on other European markets in harmony with oil prices.

Strike to disrupt domestic flights in Greece
Dozens of Greek domestic flights are to be canceled after the union representing aviation workers, OSYPA, called a strike from 10 a.m. on Thursday to midnight on Friday.
Aegean Airlines and Olympic Air said they were canceling around 70 flights.
Passengers due to travel should contact their airlines for information.

ATHEX: OPAP helps keep benchmark afloat
The Greek bourse failed to match the momentum recorded on other European stock markets on Wednesday, posting marginal gains on very low trading volume. OPAP gaming company and a few other blue chips kept the main index afloat despite the notable decline of banks.

ATHEX: Early losses contained after quiet trading day
The Greek stock exchange had a mixed session on Tuesday, with the losses recorded during the day all but offset toward the closing bell, while rising stocks outnumbered losers after another drop in trading volume.
Cosmote offering 51 scholarships for first-year students
Leading telecommunications provider Cosmote on Tuesday announced it is offering 51 scholarships, totaling 770,000 euros, to first-year students in Greece from financially and socially disadvantaged backgrounds for the academic year 2016-17.
Applications can be made at www.cosmote-scholarships.gr until October 17.
ATHEX: Deutsche fears rattle banks
The shock waves resulting from reports that Berlin has ruled out state assistance for Deutsche Bank were felt as far as Athens on Monday, with Greek bank stocks sliding 6 percent. The local benchmark followed suit with losses of more than 10 points and trading volume dropped close to the 30-million-euro mark.

Nikolic meets with Intracom Telecom board president
BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic spoke in Belgrade Wednesday with an Intracom Telecom delegation headed by President of the Board Mohamed Ahmed, who briefed him on the company's new projects.
Intracom Telecom, which has been present in Serbia for nearly 20 years, plans to expand its operations in the country.
IMF calls for more pension cuts, greater debt relief in report
The International Monetary Fund called for Greece to cut pensions and taxes and for its lenders to provide significant debt relief in order for the country to make a convincing exit from the crisis.
ATHEX: Weekly gains of 2.6 pct for benchmark
The fourth consecutive session of stock gains brought the benchmark of the Greek bourse over the 574-point level on Friday, while bank stocks closed the week with notable gains of 8.34 percent.
The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index closed at 574.05 points, adding 0.33 percent to Thursday's 572.15 points.
On a weekly basis it advanced 2.60 percent.
