Parallel employment for academics 

Parallel employment at two universities, one in Greece and one abroad, was first introduced into law by socialist former education minister Anna Diamantopoulou in 2012 to support the internationalization of Greek universities and at the same time to slow down the brain drain, which, due to the economic crisis, had picked up pace.

‘Shadow teachers’ for children with special needs in Beylikdüzü

With the start of a new project in Istanbul's Beylikdüzü province, some 44 "shadow teachers" started assisting students with down syndrome and autism in classrooms.

"Shadow teachers" are expected to share the same row with the inclusive students throughout the day and act as a mediator in the triangle of family-school-child in the educational aspect.

Online exams increase grades: Research

The research conducted by Hacettepe University has revealed the grades of students were higher during the pandemic period, when distance education was carried out, compared to the face-to-face education period.

With the transition to distance education during the pandemic period, the reliability of exams has become a topic of discussion.
