Literary historian Boris Paternu dies
Trieste – Slovenian literary historian and academician Boris Paternu died in the Italian city of Trieste at the age of 95 on Friday, the Primorski Dnevnik newspaper reported. His expertise was Slovenian literature of the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, while he also extensively studied the poetry of Slovenia’s greatest poet France Prešeren.

Legal expert Ljubo Bavcon dies
Ljubljana – Ljubo Bavcon, professor emeritus of penal law at the Ljubljana Faculty of Law, died aged 97, the newspaper Delo reported online. Bavcon is considered one of the most prominent legal experts of the second half of the 20th century, according to Delo.

Ravnikar Gallery Space defies Covid crisis with new projects
Ljubljana – Cultural manager and artist Piera Ravnikar is defying the Covid crisis, as the onset of the epidemic coincided with the closure of her Ravnikar Gallery Space in Ljubljana, to which she responded by reopening it in her own home. Now she is launching another project, a gallery called R Space, scheduled to open on Wednesday.

Ljubljana – Marko Mušič, one of the most distinguished Slovenian architects, comes from a long line of architects.
