Turkish defense company Otokar will exhibit its latest armored vehicle for the first time at the EFES 2018 live fire military drills in the Aegean province of İzmir.

The head of Turkey’s top brewery Anadolu Efes has said he had not suggested a tax for “homebrewed beer,” adding that this trend is actually good in order for the beer industry to achieve further growth.

Only one Turkish club managed to secure victory in Euroleague basketball action on Feb. 1, when Anadolu Efes beat Valencia Basket in Istanbul by 82-66.

After Olympiakos “conquered” Istanbul on Wednesday night by defeating Euroleague champions Fenerbache, Greek champions Panathinaikos will travel to the city and attempt to achieve a 3rd victory in a row. Coming off their convincing win against Russian side Khmiki on Tuesday, the Greens will face Turkish side Anadolu Efes Istanbul. A win would take Pana’s record to 5 wins.

Olympiakos will represent Greece in the Euroleague Final Four in Istanbul later this month as it came from 2-1 down to eliminate Anadolu Efes with a 3-2 score in the play-offs courtesy of its 87-78 victory on Tuesday in Piraeus.

Olympiakos stayed alive in the Euroleague with an imposing second-half performance in Istanbul and beat Anadolu Efes 74-62 on Friday to tie the play-off series 2-2 and bring it back to Piraeus next week.

Efes had the upper hand at the start of the game and dominated the rebounds - particularly the offensive ones - to advance by 13 points (29-16) halfway through the first half.

Olympiakos suffered a major setback on its way to the Euroleague Final Four after going down to Anadolu Efes in Piraeus on Friday, while Panathinaikos has all but crashed out as Zeljko Obradovic's Fenerbahce got the better of the Greens again on Thursday.

Turkey's leading brewer Anadolu Efes has said it is suspending its brewing operations at a factory in central Istanbul and transferring these operations to other facilities, after the factory was "trapped in the city center" with rapidly expanding urbanization. 

Coca-Cola İçecek (CCI) said in a statement on March 30 that it plans to open its 10th plant in Turkey, in the southern province of Isparta, with a 110 million Turkish Lira ($30.1 million) investment. 

The plant is expected to be fully operational in the second quarter of 2017, according to the statement. 

ISTANBUL - Red Star Belgrade lost 100-79 (21-21, 26-19, 27-24, 26-15) to Efes Istanbul on the road in the Euroleague Basketball Round 9 late Thursday.

The Turkish team went on a 20-4 run in the last six minutes to win the game in a convincing fashion.

Red Star and Efes are now tied at 4-5 in the competition.
