FM highlights ties with Egypt in meeting with counterpart

Egypt is a country with which Greece "maintains traditional ties, a country that is Greece's strategic partner, and with which we have developed excellent bilateral relations in recent years," Greek Foreign Minister Georgios Gerapetritis said on Friday, after concluding his meetings in El Alamein with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry.

PM to visit Egypt on Thursday

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will visit Egypt on Thursday to meet with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. The meeting will take place at 11 a.m. at the El Alamain Presidential Palace, and will be followed be a series of wider talks.

The prime minister will then visit the Greek Memorial at the site of the El Alamain battle.

Orlic receives El Gebaly

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Vladimir Orlic met with the Speaker of the Egyptian House of Representatives Hanafy El Gebaly on Thursday.

The parties agreed that the meeting reconfirmed an intensive political dialogue.

Turkish citizens can now obtain Egypt visa on arrival

The Turkish Foreign Ministry has announced that Turkish citizens who wish to travel to Egypt will now be able to obtain a visa on arrival without any process in advance.

"Our citizens who travel to Egypt will be able to obtain their visas from the Egyptian border gates from now on," said a ministry statement on May 2.
