CEC Publishes Official Results Of Bulgaria's Early Elections

Bulgaria's Central Electoral Commission released the official final results of the country's early elections.

According to them, the party with most seats is the centre-right GERB. It got 1 072 491, or 32.67% of the votes and 84 seats in Parliament. Its supporters cast 11 923 invalid ballots.

Reformist Bloc: Next Gov't Mandate Not Up to GERB

Election results might show that the Reformist Bloc has already grown into a single political player, Radan Kanev, one of the bloc's leaders, announced.

Kanev, who heads the Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB), one of the partners of the right-wing coalition, said results came as a surprise to politicians, since they did not expect such a Parliament.

GERB Leader Willing To Seek Grand Coalition After Elections

Boyko Borisov, leader of GERB, said on Thursday that he was ready to hold talks with other parties after the elections in order to form a grand coalition, reports Reuters.

According to recent polls, GERB would win the upcoming October 5 elections, but may not have a full majority in Parliament.
