The voting centers for the conservative main opposition New Democracy (ND) party opened at 7 a.m. on Sunday and will close at 7 p.m. before election results are announced after 11 p.m. The electoral process for the selection of a new leader is as it was on Sunday, November 22, when technical problems postponed the procedure.

The New Democracy electoral committee (KEFE) decided to conduct the elections for the leadership of main opposition party New Democracy on November 20.

The KEFE reached a decision on Wednesday afternoon and assigned the organization of the elections at Vodafone company.

The international OSCE/ODIHR mission as well as the two main local monitoring organizations seeking to follow the elections have announced a significant boost in the number of observers for the vote which will put Macedonia's troubled democracy to the test.

The head of the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜS?AD) has said its members are pleased to see their own targets included in the new cabinet's governing program, also emphasizing the importance of maintaining of democratic standards in the country. 

The Central Election Committee of New Democracy decided unanimously to postpone the elections for the new leader of New Democracy.

The decision was taken due to the technical problems encountered which could not be solved today. The online system for registering the voters did not work in any of the 833 polling stations.

Regardless of having voted for you or not, the overwhelming majority of voters actually have one wish: To live in a peaceful, tranquil country. 

Turkey witnessed a new high on Nov. 1 with a turnout of over 85 percent of eligible voters in the snap elections held only five months after the June 7 parliamentary elections.

Turkey's voters are expected to head to polling stations on Nov. 1 in even greater numbers than the June 7 elections in a development that could be advantageous for all parties, according to survey companies.
