PPC completes full year with operating profits

Iskraemeco working on advanced project with Iceland’s Veitur
Kranj – Electricity meter maker Iskraemeco has signed a contract with Iceland’s largest power distributor Veitur on an advanced smart metering project that will allow Veitur to transform electricity, heat and water networks into a sustainable smart network, the Kranj-based company said on Tuesday.

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 3.82 percent on Nov. 28 compared to the previous day to reach 827,038 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ) on Nov. 29.

Romania's electricity consumption down 7.1 pct in H1, exports double
Romania's electricity consumption in H1 2020 amounted to 25.7 TWh, by 7.1 percent less from the same period of the year before, while imports were twice as high, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) informed today. Electricity consumption in the economy, ie of industrial consumers, registered the steepest decline of 10 percent, while household consumption was by 2 percent higher.
Siemens and Terna land converter deal
The Siemens-Terna consortium has beaten that of Nari, General Electric and Mytilineos to the tender announced by the Independent Power Transmission Operator (ADMIE) for the converter stations to be installed at the power interconnection between Crete and Attica.

Bulgaria Becomes Part of the Common European Electricity Market
Bulgaria joins the common European electricity market, the Electricity System Operator announced. Together with Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovenia, Bulgaria will now be involved in unifying the electricity markets.
So far, there were 14 European countries involved in the union.
The first deliveries are planned for November 20 this year.
