Bulgaria's Social Security Institute has United All its Electronic Services into Single Portal

The National Social Security Institute (NSSI) disclosed the rollout of a Single Portal for Electronic Services (SPES). This new portal consolidates various NSSI platforms and web applications aimed at managing administrative tasks related to social benefits, allowances, pensions, and claims, BTA reported.

A new generation of identity cards will be issued in Bulgaria probably by the end of the year. They will have an embedded chip, which will enable electronic identification and use of electronic services.

Bulgarian Parliament Postpones IDs with Electronic Identification to January 2020

The Parliament postponed the issuance of identity papers with electronic identification to January 1, 2020, Focus News Agency reports. The introduction of new-generation identity papers with electronic identification was previously planned for January 1, 2019.
