Electronic voting by country

The Central Election Commission has determined the conditions and rules for video recording and video broadcasting, taking into account the results of the voting in the polling stations.

It will take place after the end of the Election day - when the voting is declared over, during which the recording of voters' lists is not allowed.

Ljubljana – Proponents of the referendum on the waters act have sharply criticised the organisation of the voting, alleging voter suppression regarding information on how and where people can vote early and polling station staffing. “We are faced with inadmissible curtailing of voting rights,” Aljoša Petek of the Legal Information Centre said on Tuesday.

The official campaign for the early parliamentary elections in Bulgaria began on June 11. The campaign will run until 24:00 hrs on July 9.

Bulgarians will be going to the polls on July 11, 2021 after the three biggest political powers elected in the April 4 regular parliamentary elections failed to form a government.

Preparations for the elections to the European Parliament scheduled for Sunday, 26th of May, are going well and the deadlines for their organization are met, the spokesperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Alexander Andreev told BNT on May 21.

From today parties and coalitions will officially register for the upcoming election to the European Parliament on May 26. The election campaign will officially start on April 26.

Political leaders have begun casting their votes at various polling stations around Turkey on June 24 in the country’s landmark snap presidential and parliamentary elections that are taking place under an ongoing state of emergency.

Over three million Turkish expatriates will begin voting for the June 24 presidential and general elections on June 7, with the first group to cast their votes in the most distant land of all, Australia. 

Establishing and introducing electronic voting by 2019 for all types of elections is the project of the State Agency for Electronic Governance, co-financed by the European Social Fund. The estimated cost for realization is BGN 1.5 million.

As happens before every election and referendum, a question I frequently come across is about whether the vote will be rigged. Each time I have the same answer: If you guard the voting station, nobody can cheat.
 

The Central Election Commission has decided to announce a public procurement order for the renting of electronic voting machines and not for the purchase of such devices.

The order includes additional machines in case of technical failure.

Electronic voting has to take place in all voting sections in Bulgaria and abroad.
