Causes of ferry blaze being examined
Arson experts were busy over the weekend investigating the cause of a fire on one of the vehicle decks of the Eleftherios Venizelos ferry. The investigation got under way after firefighters were able to fully extinguish the last traces of the fire on Saturday.

Tilted ferry gradually returning to upward position, says minister
A passenger ferry moored at Piraeus that tilted 7 degrees on Friday due to the uneven distribution of weight is gradually being restored to its upward position, Deputy Shipping Minister Nektarios Santorinios said on Friday.
Passenger ferry safely evacuated after fire
The Eleftherios Venizelos passenger ferry is seen tilting at the port of Piraeus on Wednesday. The vessel, with 875 passengers and 141 crew onboard, caught fire in the car deck late Tuesday night near the island of Hydra on its way to Hania in Crete after departing from Piraeus at 10 p.m. No one was injured.

Ferry docks at Piraeus after fire; no injuries reported
A passenger ferry with 1,016 people onboard returned safely to the port of Piraeus in the early hours on Wednesday after it reported a fire while en route to Crete, the coast guard said.
There were no immediate reports of injuries, a coast guard official said.
Transport Strike Blocks Greece
A transport strike blocks Greece today. On the festive day, workers in Athens' public transport will protest, the Foreign Ministry said.
Trolleys will not run for 24 hours.
The Metro in the section of "Dukisas Plakentias" boulevard to Eleftherios Venizelos Airport will also not run, while Line 1 of the metro in the Greek capital will not work from 05:00 to 08:00.
