Athens metro company vows to replant disputed trees
After coming under fire over the removal of dozens of trees from a public square in downtown Athens to make way for a new station, subway operator Elliniko Metro on Tuesday vowed to bring the greenery back.

The skyscraper will be 200 meters high when complete and will be the first green skyscraper in Greece.

Property market bullish across sectors
The real estate sector's prospects appear to be bright, at least for the near future, with prices rising and several important projects taking shape.
The growth of tourism positively impacts hotels. According to consultancy Danos/BNP Paribas, 1,400 new hotel rooms are being built in the Athens area, with another 1,100 being refurbished. And that excludes the Elliniko mega-project.

Lamda expects €500 mln in takings from Elliniko realty
Demand for housing and commercial property at the Elliniko project in southern Athens has exceeded initial expectations, Odisseas Athanasiou, the chief executive officer of Lamda Development, told analysts during the presentation of the company's results on Thursday.
He added that revenue from this activity will be more than 500 million euros in 2023.

Transformation of coastal Poseidonos Avenue continues
Work to underground a section of Poseidonos Avenue is seen as part of the Elliniko project, an urban redevelopment plan at the site of the former airport on the southern coast of Athens. The underground section will be 1.5 km long, with over 1 km comprising three lanes of traffic in each direction.
