New obstacle to Elliniko project

Elliniko delays put September target at risk

Culture Minister Lydia Koniordou on Thursday backtracked on a decision to request the reassessment of the status of several buildings at the old Athens airport in Elliniko, following Kathimerini's revelation that she wanted three more buildings in the area to be listed after her ministry's Central Council for Modern Monuments had decided on only one.

Fresh obstacle to Elliniko, this time by culture minister

Culture Minister Lydia Koniordou has raised a new obstacle to the development of the old Athens airport plot at Elliniko, whose implementation has already been delayed for years.

Traffic restrictions in Athens on Sunday for half-marathon

Traffic restrictions will be introduced in central Athens on Sunday for the Athens Half-Marathon, which starts at 9 a.m. and is expected to finish by 1.30 p.m.

Motorists should avoid the entire area around Syntagma Square, including Vassilissis Sofias Avenue, the start of Kifissias Avenue and the start of Vouliagmenis Avenue.
