A young man tragically lost his life after colliding with a pole while riding a scooter in Sofia, BNR reports. The incident occurred last night, with emergency services receiving the call at 11:50 p.m., according to reports from the emergency aid center in the capital.

According to the information, the condition of the pedestrian is considered serious. The incident occurred at the intersection of Diadochou Pavlou Street and Vergoti Square.

Same reports indicate that the condition of the pedestrian, who is an elderly person, is considered serious, although he appears to be conscious.

A 66-year-old forestry worker was fatally injured on the island of Rhodes on Thursday after being crushed by a rock.

The accident occurred shortly after noon when the man, who was clearing the forest area from Eleousa to Prophet Elias, stepped on a piece of rock that gave way.
