SOFIA (Bulgaria), August 13 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's health ministry has received seven offers in its 48.7 million levs ($28.4 million/24.9 million euro) tender for supply of ambulances, as part of a project for modernisation of emergency medical services, it said on Monday.
Climber dies on Mount Olympus
Rescue workers recovered the body of a man aged around 50 on the slopes of Mount Olympus on Saturday.
The death of the man, who had been climbing the mountain with members of a mountaineering group from Halkidiki, appears to have been related to an existing condition though a coroner was to determine the precise cause of death.

Five Bulgarians were Injured in a Car Crash in Germany
Two cars had a direct crash in the city of Stade, which is located 45 km from Hamburg. 7 people were injured in the incident, writes Bild.
Five Bulgarians traveled in one car, including an 11-month-old baby. All passengers in the car are injured.
The car with the Bulgarians had a Dutch registration, and a signal of the incident was received around 17:40 yesterday.
Breaking: Bus Crash in Egypt Leaves 22 Bulgarians Injured
Twenty-two Bulgarian tourists were injured in a bus crash on the Marsa Alam-Edfu Road on Monday morning.
Several ambulances headed to the site of the crash, according to medical and security sources in the Red Sea area, to transport the injured to a one-day-surgery hospital in Marsa Alam, where they will receive treatment.
The Health Ministry Wants to Buy 400 Ambulances by March Next Year
The Ministry of Health will apply by the end of March 2018 to buy 400 ambulances equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment and to renew 27 Emergency Medical Centers in the district towns with their 170 subsidiaries and 6 outsourced teams. This is reported by BGNES.
A Hospital Leased its Only Ambulance to a Taxi Company
The only ambulance of the Razgrad hospital was leased to a taxi company, and at least one other specialized car was sold by the previous management of the hospital. This was announced by the new executive director of the hospital, Dr Gecho Zhekov, quoted by the Bulgarian National Radio.
Three injured in Thessaloniki accident
A collision between an automobile and an urban transit (OASTH) bus in the city center of Thessaloniki left three people injured Friday morning.
According to the fire brigade, six firefighters were dispatched to the scene and performed an extraction operation to save two people, the driver and a passenger, who were pinned inside the car. The third injury was a passenger on the bus.
