Music student buys Ottoman kemancha

A stringed instrument that once belonged to a woman in the harem of Sultan Abdulaziz has been bought by a 22-year-old Turkish music student.      
  
Emine Bostancı, who studies at Rotterdam Conservatory in the Netherlands, bought the three-stringed kemancha from a Canada-based collector for around 20,000 Turkish liras ($5,670).        

Police working to confirm Bursa suicide bomber's identity

Police believe the suicide bomber who killed herself and wounded 13 others in Turkey's northwestern province of Bursa on April 28 was a woman identified as Suzan B., according to reports citing intelligence sources. 

According to the claims, police have taken DNA samples from the suspect's family members in the southeastern province of Mardin and are working to confirm her identity. 

Turkey's new foreign minister to visit Turkish Cyprus in first trip of term

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavu?o?lu will visit northern Cyprus on Nov. 26 in his first abroad trip since resuming his position after a three-month break, the ministry said in a written statement on Nov. 25. 

The visit comes on the eve of U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry's scheduled trip to the island in a bid to show Washington's support for the ongoing peace talks.  

Bulgarian Mountain Runner Sets New Record on Completing Kom-Emine Hike

Bulgarian orienteer and mountain runner Kiril Nikolov, known as the Diesel, set a new record on completing the longest tourist route in Bulgaria - the 600-kilometre-long Kom-Emine hiking trail.

Nikolov completed the hike in four days, 13 hours, 5 minutes and 30 seconds, becoming the first person to cover the distance in less than five days.

Turkey not manipulating Cyprus peace talks

Turkey is displaying a largely hands-off attitude to the current Cyprus negotiations, according to Turkish Cypriot Foreign Minister Emine Çolak. Turkey's stance at the moment is devoid of any manipulation or interference, she says Ankara is allowing the two sides in the Cyprus dispute to pursue negotiations to unify the island in peace, according to the north's foreign minister.
