All packaging producers now liable for waste treatment fees
Ljubljana – The government adopted on Thursday a new decree on packaging and waste packaging under which all producers of packaging, not just those that put more than 15 tonnes of packaging on the market in Slovenia annually, are liable for waste treatment fees.

Nuclear power plants in the EU produced about 26% of the total electricity generated in the Union in 2019, according to data from the specialized Eurostat survey.
Thirteen Member States, including Bulgaria, operated a total of 106 reactors, which generated 765,337 GW/h of electricity.
Floating solar panels on reservoirs attract investments
Terna Energy is expanding into the new floating solar panels market, with three investment plans that have a combined budget of 170 million euros.
Total installed capacity is set to come to 265 megawatts.
First community solar array in Slovenia launched
Ajdovščina – The Ajdovščina municipality in western Slovenia has set up the first community solar array for local electricity supply. Seven households are involved.
The pilot project by energy group Gen-I and the municipality uses the roof of a public facility, a primary school in the village of Budanje, to supply electricity to seven buildings.

Mytilineos buys solar energy project in Andalusia
Mytilineos on Monday announced the acquisition of a 50-megawatt solar energy project in Spain (the Jaén photovoltaic project) from Viridi RE.
The project is located in the Municipality of Jaén (Andalusia), an area with significant sunshine in southeastern Spain.
It is ready for construction, which is planned for the first quarter of 2021.
