Proto Thema meets San Andreas stars ‘The Rock’, Alexandra Daddario (Watch videos)

San Andreas is shaking and crashing its way towards mini blockbuster territory after raking in US$80 million so far in the US market and grossing a total of 140 million worldwide.
Protagonists Alexandra Daddario and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson sat down with Proto Thema’s Tina Mandilara recently and spoke about their film debuts in Hollywood’s “natural disaster genre”.

Fast and Furious 8… Could it be set in Athens? (video)

No sooner did Fast and Furious 7 premier that the makers are focused on no 8, scheduled for release on April 14, 2017. Producer-star Vin Diesel confirmed this date at CinemaCon Las Vegas though a new poster showed that it may come out during summer.

It has been leaked however that parts of the eighth installment will be set in New York, the Big Apple… and Athens, Greece, too!

What’s wrong with Val Kilmer?

Val Kilmer was once one of Hollywood’s most handsome. However, time waits for nobody. Val was spotted in Malibu, obviously older and tired.

Wounded bear cub treated

A bear cub, which fell from rocks in a forest in the northern province of Karabük, is undergoing treatment. 

Villagers, living in the Kayaarkas? village, had seen the bear cub having difficulty moving and informed the gendarmerie. The gendarmerie protected the cub, which was next to a railway, and waited for officials from the Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks. 

Nordic films to screen at Istanbul Modern

Between June 4 and 14, the Istanbul Modern Cinema will present a series of film screenings bringing together world-renowned and fresh new films from Scandinavia. The series features much talked-about Danish, Finnish, Swedish, Icelandic, and Norwegian films that received the thumbs-up from audiences, critics, and festivals alike.

Bulgarian Movie Viktoria Released in the US

The film Viktoria by director and writer Maya Vitkova has been selected for a US release by the company Big World Pictures, located in Brooklyn, New York, the Hollywood Reporter announced.

The official premiere of the movie was at the Sundance Film Fetsival. In fact, this is mreley the second Bulgarian movie selected for a US release over the course of the past thirty years.
