Albania MP Backs Farmers Selling Pot Abroad
Koço Kokedhima, a businessman and MP from the Socialist Party, had started a campaign - mainly through his newspaper Shekulli - calling for the legal cultivation of marijuana in Albania.
The country is considered a major supplier of marijuana for Western Europe and last year its police conducted two major operations, destroying scores of plantations and arresting dozens of people.

Police nab gang growing cannabis in Greek capital
Police in Attica on Thursday arrested six suspected members of a cannabis ring ? five Vietnamese nationals and one Greek ? who are alleged to have made some 50 million euros in profits by producing high-quality cannabis in three maisonettes in Pendeli, Pikermi and Lagonissi.

Following negotiations in the Agriculture Ministry, which lasted for three hours, an agreement was reached for the fairer distribution of subsidies, daily Dnevnik reports.

Croatia Medics Back Legalizing Medical Marijuana
An expert commission formed in the Croatian health ministry in December has decided that usage of marijuana for medical purposes should be legalised.
Consisting of doctors and medical experts, the panel concluded that use of marijuana in some medical treatments can be useful, according to new scientific and medical research.

Police search uncovers 3.6 kilos of cannabis in Halkidiki
A 58-year-old in Halkidiki, northern Greece, was facing felony charges over possession and distribution of drug substances after a police search of his home revealed five parcels containing 3.6 kilos of cannabis.
Officers also retrieved a hunting rifle and nine cartridges.

Purchase Price of Tobacco Plummets to 15-Year Low
The purchase price of tobacco in Bulgaria has plummeted to BGN 3.80-4, hitting a 15-year low, according to industry representatives.
Over 30% of the tobacco producers in the southwestern region of Gotse Delchev have said they are leaving the business and the country, according to the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR).
