MoI: Over 58 Tonnes of Cannabis Seized this Crop Season, 12 Detained
Sofia. Over 58 tonnes of cannabis have been seized since the start of this crop season, Deputy Minister of Interior Milko Berner said during the Ministry's regular monthly briefing, Focus News Agency reports. He said 20 tonnes had been found in a single night.

Authorities find largest ever illegal cannabis plantation in Northern Greece
Authorities on Tuesday said they found the largest ever illegal cannabis plantation in Greece in the region of the northern town of Karditsa.
Police arrested a 44-year-old man on Monday and are looking for his 24-year-old accomplice.
An estimated 10,500 plants were uprooted and seized by police. The two suspects were to appear before a prosecutor.
Gendarme arrested for dealing drugs
The suspect is 37-year-old M.V., a member of the Zandarmerija (Gendarmerie) unit of the Serbian Interior Ministry.
The police found 510 MDMA tablets and 5,000 euros in cash in M.V.'s possession during the arrest.
A small amount of marijuana was also found in his car, along with a precision scale that had traces of heroin and cocaine.

French customs officers have discovered nearly 400 kilograms of cannabis in a truck with a Bulgarian registration, reports the French edition of "L'Est Républicain"
The drug was discovered on A39 road in Jura, France, on the night of Thursday to Friday. The exact amount of cannabis is 398 kilograms. Its market value is about 4 million euros. The drug was hidden under oranges.
