New entrepreneurship in Greece reflects the basic structure of the Greek economy, which is based on the operation of very small enterprises with a limited contribution to employment, according to an annual report on entrepreneurship conducted by the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research (IOBE).

European Conference for Innovative Entrepreneurship Hosted by Bratislava
The European awards for encouraging entrepreneurship will be presented in Bratislava on Thursday, reported BNR.
Innovative companies from all over Europe, Norway, Iceland, Serbia and Turkey will compete in six categories.

One in three Bulgarians would like to become an entrepreneur, with the country ranking below the global average, a survey shows.

FT: Bulgaria Strives to Become Tech Capital of Balkans
Bulgaria is striving to catch up with central Europe and its shift to innovative and creative industries, the Financial Times says in a recent story.
"A generation of westernised engineers and programmers with a global outlook now underpins the country's emergence as the technology capital of the Balkans," FT notes in its Investing in Central & Eastern Europe report.
