Turkish delivery app is now in London
Getir, a major online delivery service in Turkey, has started operating in London, its co-founder announced on Jan. 27.
"Getir is now in London. We will endear this two-syllable Turkish word there, too," Nazım Salur, the co-founder and CEO of the fast-delivery startup Getir, said in a Twitter post.

Entrepreneurial hackathon to kick off
A hackathon on migration and entrepreneurship, called the "Migathon," is set to kick off on Jan. 8 with the participation of Turks and Syrian asylum seekers.
The event will take place between Jan. 8 and 10. Turks and Syrian asylum seekers residing in Turkey's Istanbul, Şanlıurfa, Adana, Mersin, Bursa, İzmir, Ankara, Konya and Hatay provinces will be able to participate.

Businesses closing until Jan. 11 will not pay month's rent
Shops and businesses that will remain closed until January 11 will not have to pay rent for the month of January, the Ministry of Finance announced on Saturday.
The ministry decision came after the government announced a seven-day closure of all businesses that were allowed to open during the holidays.

Startups funding at €150 mln this year
Greek startups have collected less in funds this year than 2019, amounting to a total 150 million euros. The leaders among those startups are Omilia and Skroutz, which, both mature, are attracting investors' attention.

Government urged to open up small businesses, services sector
Ljubljana – The Chamber of Craft and Small Business (OZS) has called on the government to open up small businesses and the services sector as the closure has not resulted in an improved epidemiological situation. On the other hand, undeclared work is on the rise and distress among entrepreneurs and craftspersons is deepening.
