UN: The Global Migrant Number Rose to 272 Million Globally in 2019
The total number of migrants worldwide has reached approximately 272 million this year, which is 51 million more than in 2010. At present, migrants make up 3.5% of the global population, compared to 2.8% in 2000. Data are from the United Nations Department of Economics and Social Affairs (UN DESA).

Romania's resident population was 19,405,000 as of January 1, 2019, by 125,500 less compared to January 1, 2018, shows provisional data released on Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS). As of January 1, 2019 the urban population amounted to 10,450,000, by 0.5 percent less compared to January 1, 2018.
Women in Bulgaria Live on Average 7 Years Longer than Men
The difference between the average life expectancy of women and men in Bulgaria is exactly 7 years in favor of the female, with the ladies in our country registering an average age of survival of 78.4 years, while for the men the statistics report 71.4 years. This is shown by data from an analysis of Eurostat on average life expectancy in the EU for the period 2017-2018.
Every Day on Average 74 Bulgarians Emigrated to Germany in 2018
Every day on average 74 Bulgarians, 79 Croats and 180 Romanians emigrated to Germany last year. These are some of the factors that contributed the population of Germany to exceed 83 million last year, according to data from the country's statistical office quoted by DPA and Reuters. The net migration was 400,000 in 2018, slightly below last year's (416,000).
Eurostat: Bulgaria Has the Highest Mortality Rate in the EU
With 1,602 deaths per 100,000, Bulgaria ranks first in mortality in the EU in 2016. Bulgaria is followed by Latvia and Romania (1476), Lithuania (1455) and Hungary (1425). This is shows the data of a statistical analysis of the Eurostat statistical office published today.

It was published by the IOM's Global Migration Data Analysis Centre (GMDAC) of the United Nations International Migration Organization and UN Children's Fund UNICEF.
