National Weather Service: Extraordinary bulletin of dangerous weather phenomena – “Bianca” front is coming

The weather system with the name "Bianca", as it was named by the Meteorological Service of Italy, moving southeast, is forecast to cause bad weather starting Saturday night (26-02-2022) in our country.

Preveza uses EU’s longest sandy beach to attract tourists

Under the motto "Preveza, Be Safe, Be Free," the Municipality of Preveza on the northwest coast of Greece has launched a campaign to promote itself as a tourism destination that will focus on aspects such as Preveza's 25-kilometer long Monolithi beach (pictured), the longest sandy beach in the European Union.

Weather turning on Thursday, rain and winds expected

The unseasonably high temperatures of the past few days are to drop from Thursday with the General Secretariat for Civil Protection warning of heavy rainfall, storms, strong winds and hailstorms in parts as of Thursday.
The wet front is forecast to begin in western, central and northern Greece from the early afternoon.

Dozens of foreign tourists on lockdown at campsite in Drepano, northern Greece

Dozens of foreign tourists are in quarantine at a campsite in Drepano, in the northern Greek prefecture of Thesprotia, as part of measures to ward against the spread of the coronavirus.  

The campsite hosts 41 tourists from different countries in Europe who started a tour of Greece in December in their caravans and now find themselves stranded in Epirus amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
