Student hangs himself in northwestern Greece
A 21-year-old student was found hanging in his apartment in the northwestern town of Ioannina on Monday night, with an autopsy on Tuesday pointing to suicide.
According to the Epirus TV website, the young man was found hanging in the kitchen of his apartment by his landlord.

Western Greece, northern Ionian and Epirus brace for storms
Strong downpours and storms were expected to roll into western and northwestern parts of Greece on Wednesday afternoon, hitting the islands of the northern Ionian, Epirus and later the western mainland through Thursday.
Showers and some snow expected over weekend
Strong showers and storms are expected in western Greece on Saturday, spreading to the east on Sunday, along with snowfall in northwestern parts, the national weather service warned on Friday.

The National Meteorological Services (EMY) have issued an emergency bulletin on Wednesday morning, warning of a more extreme weather conditions over the next days. According to the report, heavy rainfall and storms will continue, while strong winds and topical hail storms are also forecast.
