Erdoğan inaugurates Turkish Cyprus’ newly expanded airport
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has inaugurated the new terminal building and runway of Turkish Cyprus' Ercan Airport, dubbed the airport with the largest passenger capacity on the island.
Quake survivors depart from Hatay for Eid holiday
Earthquake survivors are seen departing from the bus terminal in the southern province of Hatay, the city most harshly affected by the Feb. 6 quakes, to the coastal cities for to the Eid holiday.
Volunteer citizens who came to the city to help after the earthquakes as well as quake survivors filled the bus terminal to start their Eid holiday.

Russians flocked to north of Cyprus
The number of Russian nationals who flew to the Turkish-occupied north of Cyprus went up sixfold last year, when calls for direct flights in the unrecognized part of the divided island gained traction after an EU flight ban in the south.

Turkish Airlines offers 40% discount for int'l flights
Turkey's national flag carrier Turkish Airlines is launching a 40 percent discount campaign for its international flights from April 1 to Dec. 31, the airline said on Jan. 12.
Turkey resumes int’l flights after ending almost three-month ban
Turkey restarted international flights on June 11 for the first time after an almost three-month ban imposed to stem the coronavirus pandemic.
As part of the new "normalization" phase, Ankara resumed domestic flights as of June 1, which have been followed by international flights.
UK refutes Tatar comments over potential UK-north Cyprus flight link

Flights resume at Sabiha Gökçen Airport after plane skid off
Regular flight operations resumed on Jan. 8 at Sabiha Gökçen Airport in the Turkish metropolis Istanbul after a hours-long suspension a day earlier.
Flights began as of early on Jan. 8 as scheduled, at 6 a.m. local time (0300GMT).
At 6.30 a.m. local time (0330GMT), a plane from Dalaman Airport in Turkey's western Muğla province landed at Sabiha Gökçen.

The United Kingdom's travel advice to Turkey was updated to include an explosion at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport that killed one and wounded another, British Ambassador to Turkey Richard Moore has announced on his Twitter account.
