Türkiye is now much stronger with all capabilities: Erdoğan

"Today, the Republic of Türkiye is much stronger and much more advanced than it was a quarter century, half a century, a century ago, with all its political, economic and military capabilities," President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Erdoğan said on Aug. 30.

Erdoğan to visit Russia for talks with Putin: Ankara

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is to visit Russia "soon" for talks with Vladimir Putin on reviving a deal to ship grain across the Black Sea, his party spokesman said Monday.

The meeting will take place in Russia's resort city of Sochi, Erdoğan's ruling party spokesman Ömer Çelik told reporters, adding that Türkiye hoped to avert a looming "food crisis".

State is mobilized for reconstruction of earthquake zone: Erdoğan

"We have mobilized all the means of our state and nation for the reconstruction of the earthquake zone and for the fulfillment of the needs of quake victims. We have constantly followed the process by visiting the region at various times" President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Aug. 23. 

Erdoğan slams UN peacekeepers for blocking road project in Turkish Cyprus

Türkiye's president on Aug. 21 criticized U.N. peacekeepers for blocking the construction of a road in Turkish Cyprus, calling the action "unacceptable" and accusing the peacekeeping force of bias against Turkish Cypriots.

Speaking after a Cabinet meeting, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Türkiye would not allow any "unlawful" behavior toward Turks on Cyprus.
