Fenerbahçe will consider withdrawing from the Turkish topflight after some of the club's players were attacked by Trabzonspor fans following a road victory over the weekend, the Süper Lig club has said.

Fenebahçe seeks first win on European stage
Two Turkish clubs in the Europa League, Fenebhaçe and Galatasaray, will be on the pitch on Oct. 21 with different targets.
Fenerbahçe will aim for its first European win of the season when it hosts Antwerp, while Galatasaray hopes to extend its stay atop its group in an away game at Lokomotiv Moscow.

Trabzonspor defeats Fenerbahçe 3-1 at home
Trabzonspor extended their unbeaten start to the season on Oct. 17 when they sealed a 3-1 comeback win over Fenerbahçe in a Turkish Süper Lig clash at home.
The visitors took an early 1-0 lead thanks to Diego Rossi's goal in the third minute at Medical Park Stadium in the Black Sea city of Trabzon.

Fenerbahçe's Czech defender Filip Novak broke the deadlock by heading in the 35th minute in Istanbul's Ulker Stadium.

Trabzonspor wins first game with new coach
Trabzonspor won its first game under its new coach, Abdullah Avcı, 1-0 against Erzurumspor in the Turkish Süper Lig on Nov. 22, ending a five-game winless streak.
Caleb Ekuban scored the only goal of the game in the first half to end the home team's poor form in the league.
With the win, Trabzonspor increased its total points to nine, while Erzurumspor remained in eight points.

Turkish pentathlete becomes European champion
Turkish pentathlete İlke Özyüksel bagged a gold medal on Nov. 20 in the Modern Pentathlon U24 Junior European Championships in Drzonkow, Poland.
"I'm very happy to have achieved such success during the coronavirus [pandemic]. Although it was the beginning of the season, we achieved our best," Özyüksel told Anadolu Agency.

Turkish Super Lig to resume on June 12
The Turkish Football Federation announced on May 28 that the top-tier Super Lig games will resume on June 12.
The federation said that all preparations were completed after the decision to restart the matches on June 12 was taken "with a joint agreement and request of the federation and 18 Super Lig clubs" to complete the remaining part
of the season.
