Government to introduce relocation bonus for military medical staff
Government plans to introduce a special relocation bonus for the medical staff of military hospitals that will move to public hospitals to cover serious staff shortages.
Military hospitals will not integrate into health system, say MOD sources
There is "no scenario in which" military hospitals could be integrated with the National Health System (ESY), Defense Ministry sources said on Sunday.
Responding to recent rumors and publications bringing up the possibility of military hospitals becoming part of ESY, the sources added that "the health services of the armed forces must be and will remain independent."
Hospital spending spirals out of control
The expenditure on 200 expensive hospital drugs supplied by National Health System (ESY) hospitals shot up to 65 million euros in November, while it had been calculated - based on the needs of the previous months of the year - that it would not exceed €28 million euros.

Doctors to hold work stoppage on June 14
