Greens edge closer to a play-off spot while the Reds drift away
Panathinaikos came from behind to beat Bayern Munich in Athens on Wednesday and consolidate itself in the top-eight of the Euroleague, while Olympiakos saw its faint hopes of a play-off spot all but vanish after its home loss to Alba Berlin.
The Greens beat Bayern 98-83 at the Olympic Sports Hall and have risen to an 11-8 record, staying sixth on the Euroleague table.
EuroLeague: Fenerbahçe smash ASVEL to advance in standings
Turkish basketball club Fenerbahçe Beko hammered French opponents LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne 86-64 on Jan. 14 to advance in the EuroLeague standings.
Fenerbahçe's French guard Nando De Colo and American forward Derrick Williams dropped 16 points each at Istanbul's Ülker Sports and Event Hall to help power their team to victory.

Anadolu Efes Istanbul grabbed its eighth road win of the season by downing FC Barcelona 82-86 at Palau Blaugrana on Jan. 10.

Olympiakos scored an important road win at Valencia, its seventh in the Euroleague this season, while Panathinaikos was unable to follow up its triumph at CSKA Moscow with another away victory at Armani Milano.

Fenerbahçe Beko beat Baskonia for second straight win
Turkey's Fenerbahçe Beko defeated Spain's Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz 79-65 on Jan. 9 in a Round 18 game of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
During the game at the Fernando Buesa Arena in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, Leo Westermann was the top scorer for Fenerbahçe Beko with 21 points.
EuroLeague: Fenerbahçe seek second consecutive win
Turkey's Fenerbahçe Beko on Jan. 9 will take on Spain's Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz in a Round 18 game of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
The game will tip off at 20:00 GMT in Vitoria-Gasteiz's Fernando Buesa Arena on Jan. 9.

Efes beat Russia's Khimki for second straight win
Anadolu Efes defeated Russia's Khimki Moscow 101-82 in a Round 17 game on Jan. 3 in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
American superstar Shane Larkin and German center Tibor Pleiss dominated, each finishing with 20 points in the game at Sinan Erdem Dome.
Power forward Chris Singleton dropped 13 points and shooting guard Krunoslav Simon added 12 points.

Glory for Spanoulis, triumph for the Greens
Greek basketball can boast this week the top scorer in the history of the Euroleague as well as the triumph of Panathinaikos in Russia against CSKA Moscow in overtime.
Vassilis Spanoulis became on Thursday the all-time leading marksman of the Euroleague, even though his team, Olympiakos, suffered a home loss to Fenerbahce that has left it down to 13th at the table.

Fenerbahçe ends four-match losing streak after beating Olympiacos
Turkish basketball club Fenerbahçe Beko defeated Greece's Olympiacos Piraeus 96-87 in a Round 17 game of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
The Istanbul club ended their four-match losing streak in the EuroLeague with the away victory.
Fenerbahçe's Nando De Colo was unstoppable as he played with 32 points to be the highest scorer of the game.
Post-Christmas blues for Reds and Greens
The return to action after Christmas was a rather sour one for Panathinaikos and Olympiakos as they went down to Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.
