Titan cements its corporate transformation
Titan Cement announced on Thursday that its public offering to shareholders has been successful, reaching 93 percent of common shares and 92.3 percent of preference shares, with the Athens-listed company beginning its parallel trading at the Euronext market in Brussels from Tuesday, July 23.

Titan resubmits share exchange offer to list in Brussels
Belgium-based Titan Cement International has submitted a share exchange offer to shareholders of Athens-listed Titan to facilitate new listings in Brussels and Paris.
EU Blocks LSE, Deutsche Boerse Merger
The European Union has blocked the large-scale merger of the London Stock Exchange with German Deutsche Boerse on the grounds of apprehensions about competition and Brexit.
"After the parties failed to propose the necessary measures for dealing with our apprehensions about competition, the EC decided to ban the merger," stated European Commissioner for Competition Margrethe Vestager.

Cenergy makes Euronext, ATHEX debuts
Greek-owned Belgium-based Cenergy Holdings began trading on the Euronext Brussels market (Compartment C) and Athens Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
With an initial reference price set at 0.61 euros per share, Cenergy Holdings had a total market capitalization of 116 million euros.

Borsa Istanbul ranks among top 5 stock markets
Turkey's main stock exchange, Borsa Istanbul, was ranked among the top five performers in the world in 2014, the exchange announced in a statement late on Jan. 5.
The BIST-100 Index was the best performing investment instrument based on its 2014 annual yields, with Borsa Istanbul investors gaining an average yield of 26.43 percent in 2014, said the statement.

Record day for Alpha’s stock on ATHEX
Rising stocks outnumbered decliners in the first session of the week at the Greek bourse, where all eyes were on Alpha Bank, which posted a record level of trading and will weigh heavier for the FTSEurofirst 300 index as of Thursday, NYSE-Euronext announced on Monday. Still, a drop among most blue chips inflicted losses on the benchmark.
