Executive Director of Europol: Bulgaria has our Support for Schengen
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Bulgaria, Kalin Stoyanov, held a series of bilateral meetings in Luxembourg.
He met with the executive director of Europol, Catherine de Boll, and thanked her for the consistent support for our country in its efforts to join Schengen. Minister Stoyanov assured that Bulgaria will work actively to become part of the area by the end of the year.

Adzic signed an agreement with EU home affairs commissioner Ylva Johansson and justice minister Gunnar Strommer to allow the deployment of the Frontex officers in Montenegro.
According to the agreement, Montenegrin police and Frontex can also organise joint operations.

The data is only for the period between January and April 2023, compared to the same period in 2022. According to official figures, this is about 42,200 people. The information is from the Border Agency of the EU Frontex, BGNES reported.

Frontex deploys guards at border between Greece, North Macedonia
Frontex, the European Union's border agency, began deploying guards on Thursday at North Macedonia's southern border with Greece in a collaboration with Skopje to monitor and prevent illegal migration and cross-border crime.
Frontex officials said that under an agreement signed last October, they will deploy more than 100 border guards.

EU Commissioner Johansson to visit Serbia next week
BRUSSELS - EU Home Affairs Commissioner Ylva Johansson has announced she would travel to Serbia next week to visit the Hungarian-Serbian border, where EU Frontex Police personnel have been deployed.
At a press briefing on Thursday, Johansson said the deployment of the Frontex mission was a part of efforts aimed at preventing illegal migration on the Western Balkans route.
