The European Union's scrutiny of foreign investment suffers from blind spots because some EU members do not carry out screening and those that do have widely different approaches, the European Court of Auditors (ECA) said on Wednesday.

Trust in TV and radio as news source lower in Greece than EU average
Trust in public television and radio stations as a source of news is lower in Greece than in the rest of the European Union, according to a Eurobarometer survey published by the European Parliament.
While 48% of European citizens trust most public TV and radio stations as a source of news, only 39% of Greeks do.
Von der Leyen: Implementation of draft on municipalities in Pristina's interest
BRUSSELS - European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Wednesday in Brussels implementation of a draft statute of a Community of Serb Municipalities was in the interest of Pristina and would be a "big step forward", while EU Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi noted that Pristina must redouble its efforts in making the dialogue with Belgrade successful.

He added that during her visit to Belgrade, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, clearly stated that the EU wants Serbia to join the bloc.

Vucic: Gas interconnector with Bulgaria to be opened by end-November

Vucic to receive von der Leyen in Belgrade Tuesday
BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will receive European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Belgrade on Tuesday.
After a welcome for von der Leyen at the Nikola Tesla Airport, scheduled for 1.15 pm, Vucic and the EC president will hold a tete-a-tete meeting at the Palace of Serbia, the presidential press office announced in a statement.
