At a working meeting in Paris, as part of the annual Internet Governance Forum, European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Mariya Gabriel discussed, with France's President Emmanuel Macron, European leadership and digital sovereignty, reported the Bulgarian National Radio.

European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Mariya Gabriel will present a roadmap for reducing roaming charges in the countries of the Western Balkans at a conference of the EPP Group, the EPP press office announced.

During the European Presidency, Bulgaria will have a crucial role to play in the subject of the Audiovisual Services Directive for the Protection of Minors and will lead to scrutiny on cybersecurity. This is what Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, the initiator for introducing Europe's supercomputers, commented in the TV show "The Day Begins" on BNT.

The European Commission will monitor the behavior of mobile operators in view of the planned abolition of roaming charges within the EU as of mid-2017, according to Gunther Oettinger, Commissioner for the Digital Economy and Society.
