Commission, Greece agree on structural, investment fund distribution

The European Commission and Greece agreed on Friday on how 26 billion euros of structural and investment funds will be used between 2014 and 2020.

“The new National Strategic Reference Framework [NSRF] can act as a catalyst for growth at a crucial time for the country,” said Development Minister Costis Hatzidakis.

Georgieva visits flooded regions, delivers aid

BELGRADE - European Commissioner for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response Kristalina Georgieva was in Serbia on Tuesday and Wednesday, where she visited flooded areas, delivered relief aid from the EU and expressed admiration for the emergency efforts shown by the government and the Serbian people.

The damage caused by flooding is six times larger than the limits of the EU funds from which Serbia is expecting to get so much needed help.

According to the first assessments, the damage is at least a billion of Euros, the Blic learns at the Serbia Government.
 

PM Oresharski, Laszlo Andor Discuss Pension Reform, Youth Unemployment

PM Plamen Oresharski and the European Commissioner Laszlo Andor have discussed the future of the Bulgarian pension reform, as well as the structural unemployment, Monday.

The European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion Laszlo Andor has met with Prime Minister Oresharski earlier Monday during his two-day visit to Sofia.

European Commissioner Laszlo Andor To Visit Sofia Next Week

The European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion Laszlo Andor will come on a two-day visit to Sofia next week, said the EC press office. 

He will have meetings with Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski, deputy prime minister Zinaida Zlatanova and the Speaker of Parliament Mihail Mikov. 

In Parliament Andor will discuss matters of youth employment.
