UAE sends Aid to Ukrainian Refugees in Bulgaria
The UAE has sent a plane with 52 tons of food products in support of Ukrainian refugees to the Republic of Bulgaria as part of the UAE's ongoing assistance to alleviate the humanitarian consequences facing Ukrainian refugees in Ukraine's neighboring countries, the Emirates News Agency reported.
The number of Ukrainian refugees in Bulgaria is estimated at more than 90,000.

Turkish captain saves 95 migrants off Malta
A Turkish captain has saved the lives of some 95 irregular migrants abandoned on the Mediterranean Sea off Malta.
Some 92 Bangladeshi, two Egyptians and a Moroccan were trying to pass from Africa to Italy in a dinghy.
According to local reports, a Maltese Coast Guard aircraft detected the dinghy and made an official Mayday signal.

EU Commissioner: By Adopting the Euro Bulgarians will have their Voices Heard
"Bulgaria is expected to receive 11 billion euros through the EU for the next 7 years", announced on Nova TV the European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights Nicolas Schmit. He clarified that it is about signing the Partnership Agreement and that a year has passed.

"There are currently 81,486 Ukrainian refugees in Bulgaria. They have requested temporary protection. 45,000 of them are children. With their personal foreigner number after registration, every refugee can exercise their rights." This was stated by the chairwoman of the Agency for Refugees Mariana Tosheva.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has underlined that developed nations are hosting 2.7 refugees per 1,000, while underdeveloped countries are sheltering more than twice this figure, blaming them for using the global refugee problem as advertising material.

Greece pushes back more than 41,000 migrants since 2020: Report
Greece has pushed back a total of 41,523 irregular migrants to Turkish waters between 2020 and May 31, 2022, according to a report by Turkey's Ombudsman Institution (KDK).
The report also said that 53 irregular migrants in 2021 and 33 others in 2022 lost their lives - either drowned or froze to death - due to pushbacks.
