Conservative party of Greek prime minister in big election lead, to seek outright majority

European Parliament to examine request to lift Georgoulis’ immunity
The request for the the lifting of the immunity of former SYRIZA MEP Alexis Georgoulis, who has been accused of rape and sexual abuse, will be examined during an extraordinary meeting of the European Parliament's Legal Affairs Committee (JURI) next Tuesday, May 23.
At the same extraordinary JURI meeting, the request for waiver of immunity of MEP Maria Spyraki will also be examined.
The EU has set the dates for the European Elections in 2024
Europeans will head to the polls from June 6 to 9, 2024, to elect the next MEPs, Politico reported.
European Union diplomats approved the dates for the European elections on Wednesday, announced the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
By electing 705 MEPs from 2024 to 2029, EU citizens could shake up not only the European Parliament but also the European Commission.
Resignations submitted
Neboja Vuksanovi did the same.
The reason for their resignations, as the newspaper unofficially learns, are "deep and insurmountable differences with the leadership of the SNP related to the directions of action of that party, which, as the source said, are going to the right and damaging the image of the civil party, which in essence was the SNP".
