Global Hellenism: A single research area
In 2000, the European Commission decided to create the European Research Area in order to promote closer cooperation between EU countries, facilitate the mobility of researchers, and enhance the innovation and competitiveness of research institutions. The European Research Council (ERC) and the Horizon Europe funding program are the fruits of this effort.

Parliament passes scientific research and innovation activities act
Ljubljana – The National Assembly passed in an 80:0 vote the scientific research and innovation activities act on Thursday. The government-sponsored legislation is to promote the development of quality and globally comparable scientific research. It is also intended to facilitate better integration into the European and global research area.
A Bulgarian Scientist Has Won almost € 10 Million in Grants for her Project
Bulgarian scientist Assoc. Prof. Anelia Kasabova from the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Studies with Ethnographic Museum at BAS, together with three other foreign colleagues won a funding under the EU's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.
